RATING: ★★★☆ - Very Good | PRICE: $$$ - Expensive
As a swanky Italian outfit from New York City, Carbone brings a little bit of SOHO to the already buzzing Hong Kong dining scene. Slick and refined yet down-to-earth and a little grungy, Hong Kong’s Carbone is located on the 9th floor of the vibrant LKF hotel, known more for their epic parties than quality food.
Featuring meats from their Chicago butchery and home style handmade pasta, the menu offerings are sublime and its preparation was second to none. However, like many things in Hong Kong, it is not surprising that prices have also been adjusted upwards to reflect the taste profile of the expat community’s salary packages. Expats being the main patrons of Carbone.
Carbone’s must have a team of pretty hardcore Italian nonnas in their kitchen as the rustic and honest food is perfectly executed and the vibes are great!
