Sushi Jin, Singapore

PRICE: $$$$ - Very Expensive    |    RATING: ★★★☆ - Very Good

Excellent Japanese restaurants are a dime a dozen in Singapore, with locals willing to shell out well over $300 a person for an Omakase dinner, it seems like the cookie-cutter fine-dining Japanese establishment is almost ubiquitous. Wagyu beef with truffles and sea urchin? Check. Options for white truffles on every dish? Check. Locals masquerading as Japanese servers and chefs? Double check.

All that’s said and done, but in Japanese cuisine, where there’s quality produce there is quality food and Sushi Jin is no exception to this rule. The food is excellent, however, do not expect to be impressed by creative cooking.
