Nakhon Kitchen, Singapore

Nakhon Kitchen, Singapore

RATING: POOR   |   PRICE: $$ - AVERAGE

If there was ever a street food cart in Thailand masquerading as a restaurant it would be Nakhon Kitchen. With multiple heartland locations across Singapore every outlet is strangely incredibly popular, in part due to their convenient locations but chiefly due to their race-to-the-bottom prices. Their restaurants generally lack proper cleanliness, the food is average at best and the lack of competent service standards makes for a very frustrating dining experience.

During peak hours, expect to spend 60 minutes in line, 90 minutes waiting for dishes to arrive at your table and another hour if they have forgotten to bring you rice and utensils; this usually happens and is not an isolated incident. If all that waiting and dining frustration is not enough to compel you to leave, then perhaps the foul stench of vaporized overused oil and gas fumes plowing out from the integrated kitchen and food waste clearing area may just send you packing to clean off the persistent stench from your visit to Nakhon Kitchen.
